  • We are seeking an experienced Interiors Director to join our multifaceted team. We pride ourselves in offering a positive, healthy workplace culture that fosters creativity and the ability to grow together.     Responsibilities:

    • Embraces and demonstrates WAV’s core values

    • Creates initial concept packages with a strong design story, to guide the design process through project completion in coordination with the client and architectural team 

    • Conducts programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at a final approved plan that meets the goals of clients

    • Develops interior spaces while considering Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape as a holistic experience, including specification of furnishings, fixtures, artwork and finishes/materials

    • Leads day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage a project production team, communicate  and coordinate  with clients, consultants, and internal architectural team

    • Manages and oversees the construction administration of Interior Design projects - including review of submittals, finish samples and value engineering efforts to maintain design intent

    • Oversees purchasing, procurement and installation

    • Manages the work of the Interior Design team, providing work assignments, mentoring, quality review, connection to the architecture team, and oversight of all work produced by the ID team

    • Learns the tools used by WAV Architects, including Studio Designers, Vectorworks, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from a CIDA accredited school

    • Registered Interior Designer

    • NCIDQ certification a plus

    • 10+ years of related design experience

    • Proficient in 2D and 3D creative/design software. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Vectorworks or Autocad and Sketchup a plus

    • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications

    • Experience in all project phases, from concept to construction

    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, working with staff and clients

    • Confidence and experience in communicating with key stakeholders: owners, consultants, user groups, etc.

    • Experience in managing project production teams

    • Experience coordinating with Architects on projects of various scope, type, and scale from high end residential to large scale commercial.

    Compensation:

    Salary range for this position is $80,000  to $95,000, depending on qualifications and experience
