WAV Promotes Melissa and Rusty

WAV has expanded its leadership team by promoting Rusty Holt and Melissa Nolte to Senior Associates. Rusty, who has been with WAV since 2016, is known for his attention to detail, which has endeared him to his colleagues and clients. Melissa, who joined WAV in 2018, is often seen mentoring the next generation of architects, which helps the entire firm excel in delivering projects. The promotions recognize the sustained contributions both have made to the firm and are part of an important expansion of WAV’s leadership team. As the firm has grown, WAV has been rewarded with an expansion of the types and scale of projects our design team undertakes. Rusty and Melissa will continue providing design leadership on projects and mentoring WAV’s staff while taking a more active role in operational decisions.

Rusty, a seasoned professional, brings a wealth of experience in both commercial and residential design. His exceptional client relations skills are evident in his long-term stewardship of ongoing improvements to Alta Pointe facilities, where he is currently managing the design of a 20,000 SF addition. Rusty's passion for project details and his dedication to teaching younger staff about their importance in executing the design vision inspire us all.

Melissa, a valued member of our team, has been recognized for her strong design skills and her commitment to our clients. She primarily works with commercial and educational clients and is the primary contact for WAV’s Gulf Shores School Systems work. Melissa's ability to integrate with the community and help clients build broader support for their projects is invaluable. Her passion for mentoring the next generation of architects and her assistance to younger staff in preparing for their AREs is a testament to her community-first approach and the values we uphold at WAV.

The addition of Rusty and Melissa’s talents to WAV’s leadership team will continue to cement the firm’s commitment to being the go-to architectural team for the Gulf Coast. Join us in congratulating these two for their outstanding accomplishments.
